Personal Profile
Executive Chef Daniel Mumau Started his career in food service in 1981.
Since his start in the industry he has served in the U.S. Army where he won numerous awards in culinary competitions and competed at the national level in 1987 winning the ACF Award of Merit and the prestigious Judges Award.
After serving in the Army Chef Dan enrolled at the C.I.A. (Cullinary Institute of America), regarded as the top culinary school in the Unite States.
He moved to Las Vegas in 1989 upon graduation and started with with various world famous Las Vegas resorts, the Las Vegas Convention Center and Canyon Gate Country Club before starting A Catered Affair in 1996.
Chef Dan started the company while attending UNLV college of Business and graduated in 2000. He has been a life long member of the American Culinary Federation and a proud member of the Executive Chefs of Las Vegas upon relocating to Las Vegas in 1989.
Chef Daniel Mumau holds certificates in food safety, nutrition and management with the American Culinary Federation and is certified by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
